What do hemorrhoids in women look like?
Disease description:
I've recently been experiencing bleeding during bowel movements, along with pain. After visiting the hospital, the doctor said it was caused by hemorrhoids. What do hemorrhoids in women look like?
Hemorrhoids are generally classified into three types: internal hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoids, and mixed hemorrhoids.
1. Internal hemorrhoids: Located above the dentate line of the anus, they are covered by rectal mucosa and usually not visible. When internal hemorrhoids become large, they may prolapse from the anus, appearing as bright red, round masses.
2. External hemorrhoids: Located below the dentate line of the anus, they are covered by anal canal skin. External hemorrhoids can be felt at the anal margin and appear as soft fleshy growths, with a dark purple or flesh-colored appearance. When thrombosis occurs in external hemorrhoids, severe pain may result.
3. Mixed hemorrhoids: Characterized by the simultaneous presence of both internal and external hemorrhoids. Mixed hemorrhoids often protrude circumferentially from the anus, with the prolapsed hemorrhoidal tissue appearing in a plum blossom-like or rose-like pattern.
In women, the appearance of hemorrhoids depends on their type, but typically manifests as fleshy growths or protrusions around the anal area, possibly accompanied by differences in color, shape, and sensation of pain. If there is any concern or symptoms persist, prompt medical consultation is recommended.
