Most cases of nephrotic syndrome in children are curable. The majority of pediatric nephrotic syndrome patients exhibit minimal change disease as the primary pathological finding. This type is typically treated with corticosteroids combined with anticoagulant and antiplatelet medications. After a total treatment course of approximately six months, patients can discontinue medication and achieve complete remission with a favorable prognosis. However, some patients may have rarer forms of kidney disease, such as membranous nephropathy, which generally respond less well to treatment and carry a relatively poorer prognosis. In managing pediatric nephrotic syndrome, in addition to pharmacological therapy, proper daily care is also crucial. Patients should avoid strenuous exercise and overexertion, ensure adequate rest, strictly adhere to prescribed medications, never reduce dosage or discontinue medication without medical guidance, and attend regular follow-up appointments.
