The treatment of strabismus mainly falls into two categories: non-surgical and surgical therapies. In non-surgical treatment, correcting refractive errors is crucial to ensure clear vision, while binocular vision training and amblyopia therapy are employed to enhance fusion ability. Additionally, wearing optical glasses and occlusion therapy are common non-surgical approaches that correct strabismus by adjusting light focusing and through visual training. However, most patients with strabismus require surgical intervention. Surgery primarily adjusts the strength and insertion positions of the eye muscles responsible for eye movement, restoring normal eye alignment. Surgical treatment has a high success rate and relatively few complications. The optimal timing for strabismus treatment is usually before the age of 6 to 7, and treatment outcomes are closely related to the patient's age.
