The following are treatment methods for orchitis: 1. Medication: The primary treatment involves the use of sensitive antimicrobial agents to reduce inflammation, such as norfloxacin, tarivid (ofloxacin), or penicillin. If the patient experiences severe pain, analgesics may be administered. 2. Local treatment: During the early stage of inflammation, cold compresses can help relieve pain and prevent swelling. As the inflammation begins to subside, warm compresses may be applied to promote blood circulation and resolve the inflammation. 3. Surgical treatment: If an abscess has formed in the testicle, incision and drainage should be performed. In cases of severe testicular atrophy or destruction, surgical removal of the affected testicle (orchiectomy) may be considered. 4. Lifestyle adjustments: Patients should rest in bed and elevate the scrotum to reduce discomfort. Additionally, maintaining good personal hygiene and avoiding prolonged sitting or pressure on the scrotum is recommended.
