Orchitis can be treated with warm compresses, but the following should be noted: 1. Pain relief: Warm compresses can improve local blood circulation, helping to relieve pain and swelling caused by orchitis. 2. Proper technique: It is recommended to use a warm towel at a temperature of around 35–38°C for external application. The duration should not be too long—about 15 minutes is sufficient—and care should be taken to avoid excessive heat that may cause skin burns. 3. Adjunct therapy: Although warm compresses can help alleviate symptoms, they do not cure orchitis. Patients must still follow standard medical treatment as directed by a physician, such as taking antibiotics. 4. Precautions: While applying warm compresses, patients should also maintain good local hygiene, avoid wearing tight underwear, opt for loose, comfortable cotton undergarments, and keep the area clean and dry.
