What causes sudden body heat and sweating?
Disease description:
These past few days, I suddenly started experiencing intermittent body heat and episodes of sweating. I had never experienced this before. However, I am currently unable to go to the hospital for an examination. May I ask what could be the reason for sudden body heat and sweating?
The causes of sudden body heat and sweating may involve multiple aspects:
1. Physiological factors: such as strenuous exercise, being in a high temperature environment, or having just eaten a meal. In these situations, the body generates heat and regulates body temperature through sweating.
2. Pathological factors: Hyperthyroidism can lead to excessive secretion of thyroid hormones, increasing the basal metabolic rate and causing body heat and sweating. During hypoglycemic reactions when blood sugar levels drop, the body may exhibit symptoms of heat and sweating to replenish energy. In menopausal women, sudden body heat and sweating may occur due to decreased sex hormone levels. Upper respiratory tract infections, gastroenteritis, and other conditions also may cause body heat and sweating.
After ruling out physiological factors, if symptoms persist or worsen, timely medical consultation and examination are recommended.
