When a ligament strain occurs during dancing, the following measures should be taken: 1. **Stop exercising immediately**: Once a ligament strain is felt, stop dancing right away to avoid further injury. 2. **Ice application**: During the initial period after the strain, apply an ice pack to the affected area for 15–20 minutes each time, repeating every 2–3 hours to reduce swelling and pain. 3. **Heat application and acupuncture**: After 24 hours, switch to heat therapy to promote blood circulation and speed up recovery. If possible, acupuncture may also be used to help relieve pain. 4. **Medication**: If the strain has persisted for more than 48 hours and there is no redness or swelling at the site, blood-activating and stasis-resolving medications such as **Shujin Huoxue Pian** (Relaxing Muscles and Activating Blood Tablets) or **Huoxue Zhitong Capsules** (Blood-Activating Pain-Relieving Capsules) may be used to promote recovery. The above measures are for reference only. Adjustments should be made according to individual circumstances, and professional medical advice should be sought when necessary.
