The duration of metronidazole treatment for patients with pulpitis varies depending on factors such as the severity of the condition, individual constitution, and treatment response, typically lasting 7 to 14 days.
For patients with mild symptoms and localized infection, a course of metronidazole for approximately 7 days is generally sufficient. However, for those with more severe infections or complications such as periodontal abscesses, treatment may need to be extended to 10–14 days.
