My own teeth are not very straight, so I wanted to get braces. I'd like to ask the dentist, what is the appropriate age for wearing braces?

Orthodontic treatment, commonly known as wearing braces, has no absolute age limit, but there are two optimal periods generally considered ideal. The first period is after all the baby teeth have been replaced by permanent teeth, usually between the ages of 6 and 12, when a child's jaw is still developing and the results of orthodontic treatment are typically faster and more stable. The second period is during puberty, approximately between the ages of 12 and 16, when most permanent teeth have erupted and there is still some growth potential, which is beneficial for tooth movement and jaw adjustment.

Orthodontic treatment can also be performed in adulthood, and many adults choose less noticeable options such as invisible aligners or ceramic brackets. Treatment for adults may take longer because skeletal development is complete, but excellent results are still achievable. Prior to beginning orthodontic treatment at any age, it is important to consult with a dental professional.
