What to do about vomiting caused by acute allergic urticaria
Disease description:
I have developed allergic urticaria and have been vomiting frequently. I would like to know what to do about vomiting caused by acute allergic urticaria.
When acute allergic urticaria is accompanied by vomiting, the following measures can be taken:
1. Dietary adjustment: Consume light, easily digestible foods in appropriate amounts, such as millet porridge, rice porridge, and fresh fruits and vegetables like bananas and tomatoes, to replenish essential nutrients and alleviate vomiting.
2. General treatment: Promptly avoid the allergen to prevent further exposure that may worsen the condition. Rest in bed more often, avoid strenuous exercise and heavy physical labor to reduce physical strain.
3. Physical therapy: Apply ice packs locally to promote vasoconstriction and relieve discomfort symptoms.
4. Medication: Under a doctor's guidance, use antihistamine medications, such as Loratadine tablets or Levocetirizine Hydrochloride capsules, for anti-allergic treatment. If vomiting is severe, antiemetic therapy may include medications such as Vitamin B6 tablets or Metoclopramide tablets.
5. Psychological care: As patients may experience negative emotions such as anxiety and tension due to symptoms like skin itching, abdominal pain, and vomiting, it is recommended to engage in outdoor activities such as walking to relieve stress and maintain emotional well-being.
