After being bitten by mites on the back, a series of obvious symptoms often appear. The patient first experiences localized itching, which may intensify at night and present as persistent itching. The bitten area develops skin reactions such as edematous erythema, papules, vesicular papules, and wheals, with a central punctate hemorrhage from the insect bite commonly observed. These symptoms are especially prevalent on the neck and trunk. If the condition is severe, the rash may spread systemically and be accompanied by varying degrees of systemic symptoms, such as fever, headache, fatigue, shortness of breath, and diarrhea. Generally, the rash gradually subsides within about a week, and the itching diminishes, although pigmented patches may remain. Due to the itching, patients often develop scratch marks, blood crusts, eczematous changes, or secondary infections, leading to local lymph node swelling and potentially prolonging the illness for several days. Prompt attention and appropriate management are necessary after being bitten by mites on the back to prevent worsening symptoms or the development of other health problems.
