When does morning sickness end?
Disease description:
I am currently five weeks pregnant, and I have been suffering from morning sickness. I would like to know when the morning sickness will end.
The duration of pregnancy-related nausea varies individually, but generally follows a certain pattern. Typically, nausea begins around 4-5 weeks of pregnancy, peaks at 8-9 weeks, and gradually subsides starting at 10-12 weeks. Most women find that their symptoms have largely disappeared by around 14-16 weeks. This is because as the weeks of pregnancy progress, hormone levels in the woman's body gradually stabilize, cease rising, and may even slightly decline, thereby reducing stimulation to the gastrointestinal tract and alleviating the nausea associated with pregnancy.
However, some women may be particularly sensitive to pregnancy and may continue experiencing nausea throughout the entire pregnancy until delivery. If pregnancy-related nausea severely affects normal daily life, prompt medical attention is recommended.
