What are the symptoms of scabies mite allergic urticaria?
Disease description:
I was bitten by mites while sleeping last night, and now I have developed hives. I would like to know what the symptoms of mite allergy-induced hives are.
The clinical manifestations of scabies mite allergic urticaria mainly include:
1. Skin reactions: Patients may experience significant itching, accompanied by erythema, wheals, or edematous erythema. These rashes may vary in size and shape, and appear and disappear intermittently. In severe cases, nodules, vesicles, or even honeycombing of the skin surface may develop.
2. Reactions in body areas: Lesions frequently occur on various parts of the body, especially areas with increased exposure to mites, such as beds or sofas, presenting with numerous papules and wheals that are extremely itchy. In severe cases, swelling of the hands and feet may occur and may persist for a prolonged period.
3. Influence of environmental changes: Symptoms may improve when patients leave environments with high mite exposure (e.g., beds), but symptoms may rapidly worsen upon re-exposure.
4. Other symptoms: Some patients may also experience sensations of pricking pain and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, particularly at the sites of primary urticarial lesions after resolution of the disease.
