When redness, swelling, and hard lumps appear after a mosquito bite, the following measures can be taken for treatment:
1. Apply topical ointments with effects of clearing heat, reducing inflammation, relieving swelling, and alleviating pain, such as Paeonia Cream (Paeonol), Bug Bite Ointment (Hundred Herbs), Arnebia Root Ointment, Mentholatum, or Cooling Oil. These medications can effectively alleviate symptoms of redness, swelling, and hard lumps.
2. If the redness and swelling are severe, it may be due to strong venom from the mosquito or the patient's sensitive constitution. In such cases, corticosteroid creams such as Dermatitis Ping, Wuji Ointment, Halometasone Cream, or Mometasone Furoate Cream can be considered. These have strong anti-inflammatory and antitoxic effects and can rapidly reduce inflammatory reactions.
