Is a body temperature of 37 degrees Celsius considered a low-grade fever?
Disease description:
I'm not very clear on the concept of low-grade fever. I'd like to ask the doctor, is a body temperature of 37°C considered a low-grade fever?

Whether a body temperature of 37°C constitutes a low-grade fever depends on the measurement site and individual differences. Generally, when measuring under the armpit, the normal body temperature range is typically 36.0–37.0°C. Therefore, a temperature of 37°C does not fall into the category of low-grade fever but rather represents the upper limit of normal body temperature.
It should be noted that minor fluctuations in body temperature can be influenced by multiple factors, including time of day, season, environment, individual physical condition, and activity level. For certain populations, especially children or the elderly, temperature regulation may be more sensitive. Thus, in some cases, a body temperature of 37°C may be accompanied by mild discomfort. However, in general, a temperature of 37°C does not indicate a low-grade fever, and there is no need for excessive concern.
If in doubt, it is recommended to closely monitor your physical condition and consult a doctor if necessary.
