People with high uric acid levels can eat almonds, but should consume them in moderation. Almonds have a relatively low purine content and are categorized as moderate-purine foods. When uric acid levels are relatively normal or the condition is stable, moderate intake of almonds generally does not cause a significant increase in blood uric acid levels. However, excessive consumption of almonds may result in purine intake exceeding the body's processing capacity, thereby increasing uric acid levels and potentially triggering symptoms such as gout. Therefore, individuals with high uric acid levels should control their almond intake and avoid excessive consumption. At the same time, they should follow a low-purine diet, reduce intake of high-purine foods such as organ meats, red meat, and seafood, and increase water intake appropriately to promote uric acid excretion. If there are any concerns or discomfort, it is advisable to promptly consult a healthcare professional or registered dietitian for guidance.
