After developing eczema, you can take hot showers, but it is important to ensure the water temperature is not too high and to follow certain bathing principles. Excessively hot water may worsen eczema symptoms, cause secondary damage to the affected areas, and even lead to skin lesions. Therefore, it is recommended that eczema patients control the water temperature between 35°C and 42°C, avoiding the use of overly hot water. During bathing, avoid vigorously rubbing the affected areas to prevent skin damage and delay recovery. Additionally, choose non-irritating bathing products and avoid using soap and strongly alkaline detergents, which may irritate the skin and exacerbate eczema symptoms. Furthermore, eczema patients should also pay attention to bathing frequency. It is not advisable to go for long periods without bathing or to bathe excessively and frequently. Reasonable bathing helps maintain skin cleanliness and promotes recovery. After bathing, it is recommended to promptly apply moisturizing cream to keep the skin hydrated, which helps relieve dryness and itching caused by eczema.
