What factors are associated with the occurrence of ichthyosis?
Disease description:
My skin has been particularly dry recently, with flaky scales resembling fish scales. After visiting the hospital, I was diagnosed with ichthyosis. May I ask what factors are associated with the development of ichthyosis?

The occurrence of ichthyosis is associated with multiple factors, mainly including:
1. Genetic factors: Ichthyosis is a hereditary skin disease, and genetic factors are the primary cause. Approximately 75% of cases are caused by genetic inheritance.
2. Environmental factors: Prolonged exposure to harmful chemical elements or gases, as well as excessively dry or cold environments, may damage the skin and thereby trigger or exacerbate ichthyosis.
3. Psychological factors: Factors such as experiencing psychological trauma, long-term emotional suppression or irritability, and excessive stress may contribute to the onset or worsening of ichthyosis.
