Symptoms of Uterine Inflammation
Disease description:
The lower abdomen has been persistently distended and painful, and the menstrual cycle is also irregular. It seems like I might have uterine inflammation. I would like to learn more about the symptoms and manifestations of uterine inflammation.
The symptoms of uterine inflammation vary and mainly include the following aspects:
1. Abdominal pain: Patients may experience tenderness in the pelvic area, accompanied by persistent lower abdominal and lumbosacral pain of varying severity, which may worsen after sexual intercourse or during menstruation.
2. Fever: During the acute infection phase, patients may exhibit systemic symptoms such as chills and high fever, accompanied by headache, back pain, fatigue, loss of appetite, and listlessness.
3. Increased vaginal discharge: Inflammation causes increased secretion from endometrial glands, leading to increased leukorrhea, which may appear milky white or slightly yellow, and have a thick mucus or purulent mucus consistency. Sometimes it may contain blood streaks or emit a foul odor, irritating the external genitalia and causing itching and a burning sensation.
4. Menstrual abnormalities: Patients may experience abdominal pain during menstruation, increased menstrual bleeding, and prolonged menstrual periods. Some patients may also experience changes in their menstrual cycle, such as dysmenorrhea.
5. Other complications: Severe cases may lead to infections in surrounding tissues and organs. For example, urinary tract infections may cause symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and painful urination. When the peritoneum is involved, abdominal tenderness and rebound tenderness may occur.
If any of the above symptoms occur, prompt medical attention and treatment are necessary.
