Causes of Children's Inattention
Disease description:
My child starts to lose focus and becomes inattentive as soon as class begins. The teacher has mentioned this many times. Doctor, what are the possible reasons for a child's lack of attention?
Children's inattention may have multiple causes:
1. Normal phenomenon: Children generally have relatively poor self-discipline and are prone to inattention, which is usually considered normal.
2. Environmental influence: If living in an environment with noise pollution, a noisy surrounding may distract the child's attention, leading to inattention.
3. Autonomic nervous system dysfunction: This may be caused by heredity or long-term mental stress, and may easily lead to sympathetic nerve excitement, resulting in difficulty concentrating and inattention.
4. ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder): Usually caused by heredity or abnormal brain development, it may lead to attention deficit, easy distraction during conversations, difficulty focusing attention, and may also involve motor coordination problems.
5. Epilepsy: Generally caused by heredity or head trauma, it may present with episodes of inattention, convulsions of the limbs, and frothing at the mouth.
