Can you use air conditioning with shingles?
Disease description:
I've recently developed many small blisters on my leg. After examination, the doctor diagnosed it as herpes zoster. However, it's really too hot indoors. May I ask, can I use air conditioning with herpes zoster?

Patients with herpes zoster can generally use air conditioning, but the following precautions should be taken:
1. Avoid prolonged exposure to air conditioning: Extended use of air conditioning may cause local skin pores to close, affecting blood circulation and potentially worsening the condition of herpes zoster. It is recommended to set the air conditioner to a temperature between 24°C and 26°C, and avoid continuous use for long periods.
2. Avoid direct airflow: Do not allow the air conditioner's airflow to directly blow onto the affected area, to prevent aggravating local symptoms or causing other discomforts.
3. Maintain indoor humidity and ventilation: A dry environment may intensify symptoms of pain and itching; therefore, maintaining appropriate indoor humidity and ensuring proper ventilation are also very important.
