The treatment of renal cysts depends on the size, nature of the cyst, and the patient's specific condition.

1. Conservative observation: For simple renal cysts smaller than 4 cm in diameter and without obvious symptoms, special treatment usually is not required. However, regular follow-up examinations are necessary according to medical advice to monitor changes in the cyst.

2. Medication: Drugs are primarily used to relieve symptoms caused by renal cysts, such as frequent urination, urgency, hypertension, and edema, rather than directly eliminating the cysts. Commonly used medications include antihypertensive drugs (e.g., Captopril, Enalapril) and diuretics (e.g., Furosemide, Torasemide), which should be used under a physician's guidance.

3. Puncture and drainage: For larger cysts that compress surrounding tissues, puncture and drainage can be performed to alleviate compression symptoms. Under ultrasound or CT guidance, a needle is inserted into the cyst to drain the fluid, and a sclerosing agent may be injected to reduce the risk of cyst recurrence.
