What causes nocturnal emission in men?
Disease description:
I used to experience nocturnal emission occasionally, but not very frequently. However, this month, I've already had three episodes, and I'm wondering what might be causing these nocturnal emissions.

There are multiple causes for nocturnal emission in males:
1. Physiological response: A normal physiological phenomenon, especially in adolescents and adult males when sexual desire is not released through sexual activity or other means, the accumulated sperm in the body needs to be expelled, and nocturnal emission is a natural way of excretion.
2. Dream influence: During rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, brain activity is similar to that when awake, which may result in sexual dreams and subsequently trigger nocturnal emission.
3. Hormonal changes: Influenced by sex hormones such as testosterone, especially during puberty, an increase in these hormones can promote sexual desire and the occurrence of nocturnal emission.
4. Genital stimulation: When sexual activity or masturbation has not occurred for a prolonged period, external stimulation of the genital area from underwear, bed sheets, etc., may also lead to nocturnal emission.
5. Psychological factors: Stress, anxiety, nervousness, or excessive sexual fantasies can sometimes cause nocturnal emission.
