Disease description:

My baby is now three months old, and I'm not sure if he/she is developing well. I would like to ask the doctor, what is the general physical condition of a three-month-old baby?

Height standards at 3 months: boys 55.3-69.0 cm, girls 54.2-67.5 cm. Weight standards: boys 4.69-9.37 kg, girls 4.40-8.7 kg.

At 3 months of age, babies experience the fastest growth in height and weight. On average, their length increases by 4 cm per month. The average height for 3-month-old boys is 62.0 cm, and for girls, it is 60.6 cm. Due to genetic factors, nutrition, physical condition, and other factors, there are individual differences in height. Generally, a height between 55.3-69.0 cm is considered normal for 3-month-old boys, and a height between 54.2-67.5 cm is considered normal for girls. If a boy's height is below 55.3 cm or a girl's height is below 54.2 cm, this indicates short stature, and the cause should be investigated promptly.

The weight of a 3-month-old baby is nearly double the birth weight. On average, boys weigh 6.7 kg, and girls weigh 6.13 kg. Similar to height, there are individual differences in weight. A weight between 4.69-9.37 kg is considered normal for boys, and between 4.40-8.7 kg for girls. If a boy's weight is significantly below 4.69 kg or a girl's weight is significantly below 4.40 kg, it may indicate malnutrition.
