Symptoms of Poor Liver Function
I have been experiencing stomach discomfort after eating for some time. After getting checked, I found out it was due to poor liver function. What are the common symptoms of poor liver function?

Signs and symptoms of poor liver function include:
1. Skin symptoms: Skin itching is a common symptom of impaired liver function, possibly related to the liver's inability to properly process toxins.
2. Abdominal discomfort or pain: Discomfort or pain may occur in the upper right abdomen.
3. General symptoms: Patients often feel fatigued and weak when liver function is compromised, which may be related to decreased liver metabolism and insufficient energy supply. Additionally, symptoms such as skin itching, jaundice (characterized by yellowing of the skin and sclera), and limb swelling may occur. These symptoms may result from bilirubin metabolism disorders and decreased plasma albumin levels caused by liver insufficiency.
4. Bleeding tendency: For example, nosebleeds, gum bleeding, or subcutaneous bruising, due to the liver's inability to synthesize sufficient clotting factors.
5. Ascites: In severe cases, fluid may accumulate in the abdominal cavity, leading to abdominal distension.
The above symptoms are not specific indicators of liver dysfunction and may also be associated with other diseases. Therefore, if these symptoms occur, timely medical attention is recommended.
