Causes of Premenstrual Tension and Anxiety Syndrome:

1. Hormonal changes: Premenstrual syndrome is closely related to fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone levels in women. Although progesterone secretion increases before menstruation, it may rapidly convert into other hormones, such as deoxycorticosterone, leading to endocrine imbalances and causing symptoms such as tension and anxiety.

2. Psychological factors: Excessive mental stress, depression, excessive worrying, anxiety, prolonged lack of sleep, and physical fatigue can all trigger or exacerbate premenstrual tension and anxiety syndrome.

3. Excessive stress: High levels of work- or life-related stress that lead to poor mood may also act as triggers for premenstrual tension and anxiety syndrome.

4. Genetic factors: In some families, cases occur in mothers and daughters successively, suggesting that genetic factors may play a role in the development of premenstrual tension and anxiety syndrome.

5. Other factors: Abnormalities in neurotransmitters, insufficient vitamin B6, abnormal beta-endorphins, and water retention may also be associated with the onset of premenstrual tension and anxiety syndrome.

If symptoms severely affect daily life, timely medical consultation is recommended.
