Can advanced Parkinson's disease heal on its own?

Disease description:

My grandfather's health has not been very good; he has had hand tremors for a long time, and recently he has become unable to control himself. He was previously diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and it seems to have now reached an advanced stage. I would like to ask whether, with active cooperation in treatment, there is a possibility of spontaneous recovery?

Parkinson's disease in its advanced stage cannot heal on its own.

Parkinson's disease is a common neurodegenerative disorder that primarily affects middle-aged and elderly individuals. It is characterized by motor dysfunction, including tremors, muscle rigidity, bradykinesia, and postural and balance impairments. This disease is caused by the gradual loss or deterioration of dopamine-producing neurons in the brain. Dopamine is a key neurotransmitter responsible for coordinating and controlling body movements.

Although there is no cure for advanced Parkinson's disease, various treatment approaches can help alleviate symptoms and slow disease progression. These treatments include pharmacotherapy, exercise therapy, physical therapy, acupuncture, and regulation with traditional Chinese medicine. No treatment can completely reverse the pathological process of Parkinson's disease; however, they can help reduce symptoms and improve patients' conditions to some extent.
