Scrotal eczema is not a contagious disease; it is primarily caused by the interaction of internal factors such as abnormal immune function, systemic diseases, or impaired skin barrier function, with external factors such as living environment, climatic conditions, and diet. If scrotal eczema is caused by a fungal infection, such as Candida, this type of eczema can be transmitted to others through direct contact, especially during sexual activity.

When managing scrotal eczema, particularly when it presents with symptoms such as redness, itching, and scaling, a possible fungal infection should be considered. Appropriate preventive measures should be taken to avoid unprotected sexual contact with partners until symptoms have completely resolved and a physician has confirmed the absence of infectious pathogens.

In addition to treating the eczema itself, it is important to maintain local hygiene and avoid sharing personal items such as towels and underwear with others to reduce the risk of infection.
