Dr. Liu Feng

Blood routine examination mainly includes the following items:

1. Red blood cell system: Examination of the number of red blood cells, hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume, and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration. These indicators reflect the body's ability to transport oxygen and help determine the presence and type of anemia.

2. White blood cell system: Examination of total white blood cell count and differential count, including the number and proportion of neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils. White blood cell analysis helps in the preliminary diagnosis of infections, inflammation, or hematologic disorders.

3. Platelet system: Examination of platelet count to assess bleeding tendency and coagulation function. The mean platelet volume, which reflects platelet size, serves as a reference for certain diseases such as myelodysplastic syndromes.

Other indicators such as hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular hemoglobin, and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration are also included for further analysis of blood status.
