How to manage rough facial skin
Recently, the winter winds have been so strong that they hurt my face, and my skin feels rough to the touch. I would like to know how to improve and care for rough facial skin.
Recommendations for improving rough facial skin:
1. Gentle cleansing: Wash your face twice daily, morning and night, using lukewarm water and a mild facial cleanser. Avoid using harsh cleansers or soap.
2. Exfoliation: Exfoliate once a week to help remove dead skin cells and promote skin renewal. However, avoid over-scrubbing or frequent exfoliation to prevent skin damage.
3. Moisturizing: Use a moisturizing cream or lotion containing hydrating ingredients, especially during winter and when staying in air-conditioned rooms to maintain skin hydration.
4. Sun protection: Ultraviolet radiation is a major factor contributing to skin aging and roughness. Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher when outdoors, and wear a hat and sunglasses to avoid prolonged direct sun exposure.
5. Diet: Consume foods rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, and Omega-3 fatty acids, such as fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and deep-sea fish, which can help improve skin texture.
If the above methods fail to improve rough skin, consult a dermatologist. Treatments such as chemical peels, laser therapy, or microneedling may be required.
