Can running help lose weight?
Lately, I've been debating whether I should buy a treadmill for weight loss. My current weight is somewhat above the normal range, and I have quite a bit of excess fat around my abdomen. I also don't really enjoy going out to exercise. I just want to know whether losing weight through treadmill running is actually effective.

Treadmills can help with weight loss.
By running, the body consumes a significant amount of calories, thereby reducing fat accumulation. When running on a treadmill, individuals can adjust the speed, incline, and duration of the workout according to their physical fitness and weight loss goals. Moreover, running not only helps reduce body weight but also enhances cardiovascular function and improves overall physical fitness.
However, weight loss cannot be achieved overnight; it requires combining proper dietary control with a consistent exercise plan. Additionally, choosing appropriate exercise intensity and methods is important. Beginners should start with low-intensity workouts and gradually increase the difficulty to avoid injuries.
It is also important to understand that the goal of weight loss is to achieve a healthier body weight, rather than simply focusing on reducing the number on the scale. Excessive or improper weight loss methods may cause harm to the body, such as malnutrition and osteoporosis.
