Why are my hands and feet always cold?

Disease description:

I always have cold hands and feet, regardless of whether it's summer or winter. In the summer, when I'm in an air-conditioned room, my hands and feet feel like ice, and during winter, the problem is even worse—I sleep through the night, yet my feet still remain cold. Even when wearing thick clothing, it's difficult for my hands and feet to become warm. Why does this condition of cold hands and feet occur?

There are several main reasons for cold hands and feet:

1. Cold environment: When the body is in a low-temperature environment, blood vessels in the hands and feet constrict to reduce heat loss, slowing blood circulation and causing the hands and feet to feel cold.

2. Lack of exercise: Insufficient physical activity may lead to poor blood circulation, preventing adequate blood supply to the hands and feet, resulting in a feeling of coldness.

3. Malnutrition: A deficiency in essential vitamins and minerals may lead to poor circulation, which can cause cold hands and feet.

4. Anemia: A reduced number of red blood cells or low hemoglobin levels decreases the blood's oxygen-carrying capacity, affecting oxygen and heat supply to the extremities.

5. Hypothyroidism: Low levels of thyroid hormones reduce the metabolic rate, decreasing the body's heat production and making cold hands and feet more likely.

6. Poor circulation: Conditions such as atherosclerosis and Raynaud's disease can impair blood flow to the extremities, causing cold hands and feet.
