Excessive flatulence may be caused by the following factors:

1. Diet: Consuming large amounts of high-fiber or difficult-to-digest foods can lead to increased gas production in the intestines. In addition, excessive intake of carbonated beverages and foods containing sugar alcohols can also increase the frequency of flatulence.

2. Digestive disorders: Conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, and inflammatory bowel disease can affect the normal digestion and absorption of food, leading to increased intestinal gas.

3. Swallowing air: Eating too quickly, talking while eating, or drinking beverages through a straw may cause a large amount of air to be swallowed unintentionally, which is eventually expelled as flatulence.

4. Stress and anxiety: Emotional fluctuations, especially chronic stress and anxiety, can affect normal intestinal motility, leading to increased flatulence.

5. Medication side effects: Some medications, such as antibiotics, may disrupt the balance of normal intestinal flora, resulting in increased gas production.

If other uncomfortable symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, or others are present, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.
