Treatment Methods for Elbow Joint Pain
Frequently practicing golf has now resulted in elbow joint pain; how should this be treated?

Elbow pain can be caused by various factors, including tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, elbow bursitis, fractures or dislocations, and muscle or tendon injuries.
Common treatment methods:
1. Rest and ice application: If elbow pain is caused by overuse or minor injury, initial treatment typically involves rest, avoiding activities that worsen the pain, and applying ice packs to reduce inflammation and swelling.
2. Medication: Oral nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen, can help relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Topical medications, such as creams and patches, also may be used.
3. Physical therapy: Performing appropriate exercises and stretches can help strengthen the muscles around the elbow joint, improve joint flexibility, and promote recovery.
4. Orthoses or supports: During the recovery period, wearing an elbow brace or orthotic device can provide additional support and stability, helping to prevent further injury.
5. Injection therapy: For chronic pain or inflammation, local corticosteroid injections may be recommended to alleviate symptoms.
