Common causes of groin pain:

1. Restricted blood circulation: Prolonged sitting may restrict blood flow, leading to pain in the groin area.

2. Muscle strain or overuse: More common among athletes or individuals engaging in strenuous activities. Overuse of muscles or improper exercise techniques can cause muscle fiber damage, resulting in pain.

3. Bursitis: This is caused by trauma or infection around the hip joint, leading to fluid accumulation in the bursa and subsequent pain due to damage to the bursal tissue.

4. Hip joint disorders: Including hip arthritis, labral tears, or femoroacetabular impingement. These conditions can cause pain around the hip joint, which may sometimes radiate to the groin area.

5. Sciatica: The sciatic nerve extends from the spinal cord down the leg. Compression or inflammation of this nerve can cause pain from the lower back down the back of the thigh, which may sometimes affect the groin area.

If groin pain persists, it is recommended to seek medical evaluation at a hospital immediately.
