Disease description:

Recently, I've been experiencing persistent pain in my right groin area, which becomes more noticeable when walking or exerting effort. I haven't had any prior injuries or engaged in heavy physical labor, yet the pain started suddenly. What could be the possible cause?

Inguinal hernia is one of the common causes, especially in males. This occurs when part of the abdomen, such as the intestine or fatty tissue, passes through a weak spot or tear in the abdominal wall into the inguinal region.

The inguinal region contains many muscles that may become injured during strenuous activity or overuse, resulting in pain and discomfort. Lymph nodes in the inguinal area also may cause pain if infected or inflamed, often related to infections in other parts of the body. Kidney stones, ureteral infections, and similar conditions also can cause groin pain.

Physiological factors also play an important role in causing inguinal pain. The abdominal wall in the inguinal region is relatively weak and bears significant pressure, making it prone to hernia formation. At the same time, this region contains superficial lymph nodes, and pain can be caused by lymph node infection or tumors.

Long-term chronic coughing, chronic constipation, difficulty urinating, lifting heavy objects, and similar activities that increase intra-abdominal pressure are common causes of external abdominal hernias and inguinal pain.
