Common causes of wrist pain:

1. Trauma: Such as distal radius fractures, scaphoid and lunate bone fractures, and soft tissue injuries around the wrist joint, including injuries to the triangular fibrocartilage and ligaments of the distal radioulnar joint. These injuries typically result in local swelling, pain, and restricted movement.

2. Gout attack: When the concentration of uric acid in the blood is too high, uric acid may deposit in the articular cartilage, irritating the synovium and causing synovial congestion, swelling, and pain in the wrist. Consuming large amounts of purine-rich foods such as soy products and seafood may increase the risk of gout attacks.

3. Infection: Pyogenic infection within the wrist joint can cause symptoms such as local redness, swelling, warmth, and pain, accompanied by elevated white blood cell count and inflammatory markers.

4. Tendinitis: Inflammation of the tendon sheaths around the wrist, usually related to overuse.
