What causes pain and tenderness in the peroneal muscles of the lower leg?
Recently, my calf has been hurting frequently, and pressing on it makes the pain worse. The pain becomes especially noticeable after exercise or prolonged standing. I would like to know what's causing this calf muscle pain and tenderness. Is it due to overexertion during exercise, or could there be an underlying medical condition?
