Disease description:

I have always loved eating soybeans the most, whether boiled, steamed, or mixed with various dishes. Later, I heard that some foods shouldn't be consumed together with soybeans, which confused me. May I ask what foods shouldn't be eaten with soybeans?

Foods that should not be consumed with soybeans:

1. Foods high in oxalic acid: such as spinach, beets, and rhubarb. Soybeans contain a relatively high amount of calcium, and oxalic acid can combine with calcium to form insoluble calcium oxalate. This not only reduces calcium absorption but may also increase the risk of kidney stones.

2. High-fiber foods: although soybeans themselves are rich in fiber, excessive fiber intake may cause gastrointestinal discomfort, such as gas and bloating. Therefore, avoid consuming large amounts of other high-fiber foods at the same time to reduce the burden on the digestive system.

3. Legumes: when soybeans are eaten with other legumes such as black beans and red beans, they may increase digestive stress on the gastrointestinal tract due to their high content of plant-based protein and fiber, leading to discomfort. Combine in moderation and avoid excessive intake at one time.

4. Organ meats and animal meats: consuming soybeans together with animal organs and meats such as pig blood, pork liver, and pig trotters may cause indigestion or bloating. This is because the proteins and dietary fiber in soybeans interact with the components of these foods, increasing the burden on the gastrointestinal tract.

When consuming soybeans, care should be taken to avoid simultaneous intake with the above-mentioned foods.
