Disease description:

Wanting to drink yogurt to regulate my body and believing that drinking yogurt can stimulate the appetite and benefit the gastrointestinal tract, but not wanting to consume it indiscriminately with other foods, I would like to ask: What should not be consumed together with yogurt?

The following are some foods that should not be consumed with yogurt:

1. Soybeans and soy products: Yogurt contains abundant calcium, while certain components in soybeans may affect calcium absorption, thereby reducing the calcium-supplementing effect of yogurt. Therefore, yogurt should not be consumed together with soybeans and soy products.

2. Foods containing nitrites: Such as processed foods like ham, sausage, and cured meats. The nitrites in these foods may react with organic acids in yogurt to form nitrosamines, which may pose a threat to human health. Therefore, yogurt should be avoided with these foods.

3. Medications: The calcium and magnesium ions in yogurt may chemically react with medications, affecting their therapeutic effects or causing adverse reactions. Therefore, it is best to avoid consuming yogurt while taking medications, or to schedule consumption times appropriately under a doctor's guidance.

4. Acidic fruits: Although yogurt combines well with most fruits, highly acidic fruits such as persimmons, hawthorns, and plums should be avoided with yogurt. The tannic acid in these fruits may bind with proteins in yogurt to form coagulated masses that are difficult to digest, potentially causing stomach discomfort or indigestion.
