What should not be eaten with shrimp seeds?
Go to eat a seafood buffet. Because there was a lot of food and it was quite tempting, I ate a lot, especially the shrimp roe (shrimp eggs). About an hour after arriving home, I started experiencing stomach pain, followed by vomiting and diarrhea. I think it was because I ate recklessly. I would like to ask, what should not be consumed together with shrimp roe?

It is not advisable to consume shrimp roe with the following types of food:
1. Foods rich in tannic acid: such as persimmons and tea. Tannic acid may combine with proteins in shrimp roe to form substances that are difficult to digest, potentially causing indigestion, abdominal pain, and other symptoms.
2. High-calcium foods: such as milk and tofu. Although calcium is beneficial to the body, excessive combination with phosphorus in shrimp roe may form compounds that are difficult to absorb in the body, affecting normal calcium absorption and potentially leading to osteoporosis over time.
3. Cold-natured foods: Shrimp roe is warm in nature; consuming it in large quantities with cold-natured foods may cause discomfort in the stomach and spleen. Individuals with cold deficiency in the stomach and spleen should especially avoid this combination.
4. Foods with extremely high vitamin C content: such as citrus fruits and kiwifruit. While vitamin C helps boost immunity, it may react with pentavalent arsenic components in shrimp roe to potentially produce toxic trivalent arsenic.
5. Copper-rich foods: such as pork liver. Both shrimp and pork liver contain copper; excessive intake may lead to symptoms of poisoning.
When consuming shrimp roe, it is recommended to pay attention to food combinations to ensure nutritional balance and health.
