Nosebleeds are usually caused by dry nasal mucosa, fragile blood vessels, or trauma. Dietary adjustments can help prevent and alleviate nosebleeds in the following ways:

1. Eat more foods rich in vitamin C: such as citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruits, lemons), strawberries, kiwifruits, etc. Vitamin C can enhance the elasticity of blood vessel walls, promote wound healing, and reduce bleeding.

2. Consume foods with heat-clearing and blood-nourishing properties: such as white fungus, lotus root, pumpkin, etc. These foods can help relieve internal heat while providing essential nutrients to the body.

3. Iron-rich foods: such as red meat, legumes, and leafy green vegetables, which can help replenish blood; however, intake should be moderate, as excessive iron may be harmful.

4. Maintain a mild diet: avoid spicy, irritating, or overly greasy foods, such as hot pot and spicy hot pot. These foods may worsen nasal mucosal inflammation and lead to bleeding. Additionally, frequent alcohol consumption and smoking should also be avoided to prevent exacerbation of the condition.

5. Other considerations: drink plenty of water to maintain adequate hydration and prevent excessive nasal dryness. Furthermore, mint can be added to tea or consumed as mint oil, which may help relieve nasal congestion and reduce bleeding.

When experiencing a nosebleed, choose bland, nutrient-rich foods and avoid irritating foods. If nosebleeds occur frequently or involve heavy bleeding, seek medical attention promptly.
