Wenshuyu is a patent Chinese medicine that warms the middle-jiao and dispels cold, primarily used for treating chronic gastritis, cold-type epigastric pain, and related symptoms. When taking this medication, follow these guidelines:

1. Dosage: The adult dosage is 6 grams (one sachet) each time, taken once in the morning and once in the evening. Children should use it only under a doctor's supervision.

2. Method of administration: It is recommended to take the medication half an hour before meals, using warm water to dissolve the powder. This helps enhance the drug's effectiveness and reduces gastric irritation.

3. Course of treatment: Generally, a treatment course lasts 7–14 consecutive days, depending on the individual condition and as directed by a physician.

4. Precautions: This medication is contraindicated for pregnant women. Patients with hypertension, heart disease, heat-type epigastric pain, or severe stomach pain should take it only under medical supervision. If symptoms do not improve after three days of use, discontinue the medication and seek medical advice promptly.

5. Side effects and adverse reactions: A small number of patients may experience mild discomfort such as dry mouth or constipation.

Medication should be taken under the guidance of a qualified physician. During treatment, do not adjust the dosage or change the administration schedule without medical advice.
