Proper tooth brushing techniques are beneficial for maintaining oral health. It is important to choose the right toothbrush and toothpaste. A soft-bristled toothbrush is suitable for most people, and fluoride toothpaste can effectively prevent tooth decay. Below are the detailed steps for brushing teeth:

1. Preparation: Apply a proper amount of toothpaste onto the toothbrush—approximately the size of a pea. Use warm water for brushing to avoid tooth sensitivity caused by cold water.

2. Brushing posture: Place the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the teeth. Gently make small circular motions on the tooth surfaces and along the gum line. Avoid brushing too hard to prevent gum damage.

3. Brushing sequence: Brush teeth in a systematic order, from one side to the other, ensuring that the outer, inner, and chewing surfaces of each tooth are cleaned. Group two or three teeth together and vibrate the brush 5–10 times per group.

4. Special areas: Don't forget to clean the tongue and the inside of the mouth to remove bacteria and freshen breath.

Brush your teeth for at least 3 minutes each time, at least twice daily—once in the morning and once in the evening. Replace your toothbrush every three months or sooner if the bristles begin to fray, in order to maintain effective cleaning.
