Testicular pain is a common symptom of the male reproductive system and may be caused by various factors. The following are some possible causes:

1. Testicular torsion: This is an emergency condition that requires immediate medical attention. In testicular torsion, the spermatic cord twists, cutting off the blood supply to the testicle. If not treated promptly, it may lead to testicular necrosis.

2. Epididymitis and orchitis: These inflammatory conditions are usually caused by bacterial infection and are characterized by redness, swelling, warmth, and pain in one or both testicular and epididymal regions. They commonly occur in sexually active young men, especially those with a history of unprotected sexual activity.

3. Urinary tract infections: Including cystitis and prostatitis, these infections can sometimes cause referred pain to the testicular area.

4. Varicocele: Obstruction of venous return within the spermatic cord leads to blood congestion, which may cause a feeling of distension or heaviness in the testicle.

5. Testicular tumors: Although less common, testicular tumors can also cause pain, particularly when the tumor reaches intermediate or advanced stages.

If symptoms worsen or persist, prompt medical attention should be sought.
