The diagnostic criteria for opioid intoxication mainly include the following aspects:

1. Medical history inquiry: First, the physician will ask the patient whether there has been recent use of opioids, which forms the basis of diagnosis.

2. Observation of clinical manifestations: During or after the use of opioids, the patient will experience a series of clinically significant behavioral or psychological changes. These changes may include a transition from initial euphoria to apathy, restlessness, psychomotor agitation or retardation. In addition, symptoms such as constricted pupils, drowsiness, coma, slurred speech, and impaired attention and memory may also occur.

3. Exclusion of other factors: These symptoms or signs cannot be attributed to other medical conditions, mental disorders, or intoxication from other substances.

4. Laboratory tests: Laboratory methods such as blood tests, urine tests, and gastric content analysis can detect the presence of opioid components in the patient's body, providing further evidence for diagnosis.

Once diagnosed, treatment measures should be implemented immediately.
