Therefore, it is advisable to avoid consuming large amounts of other high-cholesterol foods together with pork to control overall cholesterol intake.
3. Be cautious about interactions with medications: For individuals taking specific medications such as the anticoagulant warfarin, it is important to avoid consuming large quantities of foods rich in vitamin K, including certain leafy vegetables and pork liver, as vitamin K can affect the anticoagulant effect of the medication. Similarly, for those taking blood pressure-lowering medications, excessive sodium from salty or processed meat products may counteract the effectiveness of the medication.
