Plums should not be consumed with the following foods:

1. High-calcium foods: Plums contain a significant amount of fruit acid. When consumed together with high-calcium foods, calcium oxalate may form, which not only affects calcium absorption but also may increase the risk of urinary tract stones.

2. Acidic foods: Plums themselves are highly acidic. If consumed together with other acidic foods such as lemons, hawthorns, green plums, or oranges, they may further irritate the gastric mucosa, leading to excessive gastric acid secretion, which can trigger symptoms such as acid reflux and nausea. Long-term consumption in this manner may also increase the risk of gastritis and peptic ulcers.

3. High-protein foods: High-protein foods such as eggs, chicken, and fish require good digestive function for absorption. The acidic substances in plums may impair digestive function, preventing complete absorption of high-protein foods and causing symptoms such as abdominal distension and belching.

4. Seafood: Consuming plums together with seafood may lead to the formation of toxic substances in the body, resulting in symptoms of food poisoning such as diarrhea and vomiting. This may be due to reactions between certain components in seafood and substances in plums.

A healthy diet involves balanced intake of various nutrients, moderate consumption of a diverse range of foods, and avoiding excessive or inappropriate food combinations.
