What causes frequent nosebleeds?
I don't know what's going on, but my nose often bleeds in the morning. However, there is no pain in my nose when it bleeds. I would like to ask what causes nosebleeds?
Common causes that may lead to nosebleeds:
1. Dry climate: Dry air can cause the nasal mucosa to become dry and lose its protective function, making it prone to rupture and bleeding.
2. Nasal trauma: Nosebleeds can result directly from nasal vascular injury due to actions such as nose picking, excessive nose blowing, or nasal trauma.
3. Nasal diseases: Conditions such as rhinitis, sinusitis, and nasal polyps may cause inflammation or tumor tissue to erode blood vessels, leading to bleeding.
4. Hypertension: Patients with high blood pressure are more susceptible to nasal bleeding because their nasal blood vessels endure increased pressure due to persistently elevated blood pressure.
5. Medication side effects: Certain medications, such as anticoagulants and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), may increase the risk of bleeding.
6. Blood disorders: Hematologic diseases such as thrombocytopenic purpura and leukemia can impair blood clotting function, making even minor injuries prone to cause bleeding.
If frequent nosebleeds occur, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly. Additionally, maintaining nasal moisture and avoiding不良 habits such as nose picking can also help prevent nosebleeds.
