Spleen and Stomach Deficiency-Cold, a TCM term, refers to a pathological condition characterized by weakened function of the spleen and stomach and insufficient yang energy, leading to reduced digestive and absorptive capacity. Main symptoms include:

1. Gastrointestinal discomfort: Due to decreased function of the spleen and stomach, patients may experience poor appetite, abdominal pain, bloating, and diarrhea, all of which result from impaired digestion.

2. Cold limbs: Spleen and stomach deficiency-cold can lead to insufficient internal yang energy and poor blood circulation, resulting in cold limbs, particularly noticeable in cold weather.

3. Fatigue and tiredness: Insufficient function of the spleen and stomach can impair the body's absorption of nutrients. Long-term deficiency may lead to malnutrition, decreased immunity, and subsequent fatigue and drowsiness.

4. Tasteless mouth or dry mouth: Patients may experience a bland taste or dryness in the mouth, with food seeming flavorless, due to impaired transformation and transportation function of the spleen and stomach.

5. Loose stools: Spleen and stomach deficiency-cold causes weakened transformation function in the intestines, leading to increased frequency of bowel movements and loose, watery stools.

Attention should also be given to dietary regulation; avoid raw and cold foods, consume more warming and nourishing foods such as ginger, lamb, and Chinese yam, and engage in appropriate physical activity to strengthen constitution and alleviate symptoms.
